Philadelphia's Channel 6 Action News here was reporting on counterfeit Live8 merchandise just now. They said that official t-shirts will be on sale on Saturday on the parkway where the Live8 concert is being held.
Then they showed a small kiosk outside of the hotel where we are staying as their example of someone who already has unofficial t-shirts and souvenirs for sale. When the crew tried to film his selection of Live8 merchandise, the vendor pulled plastic sheets over the display of t-shirts. When they asked him if his merchandise was officially licensed by the Live8 foundation he responded, "If someone wants to make reparations for slavery first, then we'll talk."
How can you argue with that?
