Duran Duran at Live 8 Rome

I'm inside the AOL VIP tent right now, watching the live feed from Duran Duran's performance in Rome. "20 years ago," Simon Le Bon says, after finishing "Ordinary World", "we thought maybe we were going to save the world. We sang this song. Now, we have a second chance, and we're going to play it again." They then launched into "Save a Prayer", a song that I always interpreted as being pretty much as political as Duran Duran ever got. Simon looks a little bloated, but the band sounds great. I actually think it's a great idea to invite back the original Live Aid bands, regardless of their current, um, popularity. Now they're doing "Wild Boys", and Simon's still got the arm movements from the video down. Fantastic.

2. I was sad because I missed it!! GRR!!! save a prayer must have been awesome!! Well, now I guess I have July 16th to look foward to! They better make it good at the concert to make up for me missing it!

5. Cool that you got to go. I haven't seen it yet. Hope to catch the replay online soon. But give the guy a break...BLOATED?? They've been touring for 5 months straight I doubt if he's all that bloated. Proabably just a little worn out from having to perform almost every night & hopping from country to country. That aside, it is a wonderful cause and I'm glad that they could once again be apart of the global awareness. WAY TO GO BOYS!!!! LUV YA!!!

6. GREAT DURAN! there were high temperatures at the beginning of the concert but duran were FANTASTIC!!!! it has been a great present to us having them in our city!! thanks duran!!!
